Your

Safety Rewards Program

As we continue to decrease our risk of injury for our employees, we recognize the benefit of working together as a team to accomplish our goals.

We are faced with a dynamic and ever changing environment full of hazards that appear on a daily basis.  Our mission is to identify and eliminate hazardous conditions and practices that may adversely affect your ability to work safely.

All employees are encouraged to be part of this safety team by taking an active role in affecting, not only your own safety and well being, but also the safety and well being of the employees you work with.

You will be awarded points for actively participating in various activities designed to identify and correct conditions and practices that may adversely affect your ability to work safely.  The following is a partial list of the type of activities that you may receive points for:

  • Reporting unsafe conditions and practices
  • Correcting unsafe conditions and practices
  • Actively serving on the Safety Committee
  • Serving on special task forces or focus groups
  • Leading Tool Box Meetings or Safety Briefings
  • Participating in or leading daily stretching sessions
  • Completing safety surveys and questionnaires
  • Submitting safety suggestions

Additional activities will be added to this list on an ongoing basis in order to meet the challenges that we encounter.  The more you participate the more points you will earn, making you eligible for more valuable rewards.  (Click on "Your Rewards" and "Rewards Store" to browse through the selection of reward items.)

As always we require all associates to report near misses and injuries no matter how minor so that we may proactively address these incidents before they lead to more serious injuries or property damage.  Reporting of accidents, injuries and near misses does not adversely affect your accumulation of points.  However, failing to report may have serious adverse effects.
